and IN the dogwood tree in the front yard -- time for pictures of x being goofy
and of x being somewhat calm and sedate.
he chattered all the way to school, but as soon as we got to the school he clammed up. he was quiet as we walked to school (had to park a ways away since EVERYBODY was dropping off that day). he was even quieter as we got to his classroom door. now eyes are firmly looking at the ground. i held it together, and so did he -- i could tell he wanted to cry -- and to tell the truth, so did i. if he had cried even one tear, mom was gonna totally LOSE IT.
but, i told the teacher he was new to the school and she immediately made him feel better. (WHEW!)

Woo hoo on a great first day! Way to go X!
What a brave little guy, kids are way braver than adults :)
I'm glad Xander liked school. It's so hard to leave them when they're nervous. I think it's harder on the moms than the kids.
He's a grown up! I lurve that last picture of him. I remember being quite nervous last year when the boys had their 1st day at a NEW school. Way to go X!
That good that he ended up liking his new school! It's so hard being the new kid in school.
Yay! Good ending. I remember going to new school when I was in second grade--that was tough. He's a tough good and he'll do great.
Yea! Hopefully Hamilton Schools will treat him better than the last one. He looks happy that's for sure!
